Jonathan Albertini: Musical Director - Voices In Paradise

Jonathan Albertini is the Founder and Director of Voices In Paradise. Graduating from Masters of Music Studies from the Queensland Conservatorium in 2018, Jonathan directs a large number of community choirs and schoold choirs on the Gold Coast and sings in a competition quartet called Upgrade.

 

The Blenders Chorus

Jonathan Albertini is the current Musical Director of 8-time national gold medalist and twice Pan Pacific gold medalist chorus The Blenders.  The Blenders are the largest all male chorus in Australia and perhaps the southern hemisphere and have one of the largest youth contingents in the contry called the Blenders Youth Chorus also Directed by Jonathan.

 

Coastal Charisma

Jonathan also directs SAI womens chorus Coastal Charisma who compete in the anual Sweet Adeline International competition each year.

 

Youth Choirs

Jonathan is passionately dedicated to the promotion of youth involvement in a cappella singing as the current Musical Director and founder of the Blenders Youth Chorus. Continuing his passion for youth development Jonathan has accepted the role of BHA Youth Development Officer for the Sunshine Region (QLD) and is a member on the regional BHA committee.

In 2013 Jonathan founded, (and directs) one of the largest annual youth a cappella festivals in Australia Voices in Paradise which attracts hundreds of young males and females every year and provides professional level experiences for all involved.

He is also the Director of Serotonin, who are the mixed a cappella group in Griffith University as well as an all male and an all female high school cappella choir at A.B Paterson College and a primary school choir at St Kevin's Catholic School.

Other Experience

He has also coached many quartets such as Blindside 2017 quartet champions (and highest ever scoring australian quartet) and competed with many quartets, most recently achieving a silver medal at the Barbershop Harmony Australia Contest in 2016 singing lead in his quartet Upgrade. Jonathan has a great history of growing and developing choruses and developing the youth to ensure a strong future of each of his choruses.

In his time away from music, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Courtney, daughter Natalie and song Oliver. He also runs his own Tennis Coaching business on the Gold Coast called Anyone For Tennis, kite surfs and plays guitar. Jonathan's most recent hobby is BBQ meat smoking. He also holds a Bachelors of Commerce from Bond University.
